This is the new talking traffic signal in town. I got the idea to speed it up from listening to some radio commercials where the person talks a mile a minute to cram as many words into the commercial as possible. They really are damned annoying when they do it, but i get a laugh out of my version. Recorded on my yamaha pocketrak with one track duplication and edited in sony vegas. Lots of nighttime traffic and in the first two minutes, several loud vehicles pass and you hear three loud reports of distant fireworks followed by distant barking. There's about three more minutes of traffic and then the noise dies down to neighborhood hum in the last 45 seconds.

On a music tour mostly travelling along the volga river and stopping at various places on the way. Captured on portable cassette recorder. Was never told what place this was, just that it was the "little town' and i suspect at this point we were on the oka river. May 1992.

Stereo field recording of the trubarjeva cesta in ljubljana/slovenia. It is a fine early summer evening and lots of tourists and locals are underway. The recorder is located at a busy intersection with lots of pedestrian and motor traffic. Around 2 mins into the recording, a motor scooter noisily passes by the recorder. As these are recorded using binaural in-ear mics, i purposefully don't turn my head to keep the sound clean and coming from the same direction. This is traffic on hwy 134 (next to walt disney studios / warner brothers studios) recorded while standing on the hollywood way overpass on 11/16/2018 in burbank, ca. Surprisingly, traffic flow was pretty good and i would assume cars were traveling around 40 to 50 mph. Enjoy,. Christopher c. Courter.
